A rare silver Celtic amulet. An exceptional antique—a rare Celtic amulet of fine silver that embodies the spirit of a mysterious civilization of ancient artisans. Every touch of this metal is a brush with eternity, captured in forms that are at once understated and profoundly symbolic. The amulet features a distinct ritualistic form composed of two main elements joined by a connecting bar. The upper section is a perfect circle, symbolizing the Sun, infinity, the cyclical nature of life, and the divine principle. The lower section is shaped like a stylized key or a "rotating" symbol—often interpreted as an emblem of fertility, a safeguard against evil spirits, or a representation of the four elements (or the four cardinal directions). The overall composition of the amulet (a circle atop a rectangular base) may have symbolized the connection between the earthly realm (the lower part) and the celestial realm (the upper part).
