A rare and ancient bronze Celtic amulet. A unique and rare archaeological artifact—an ancient Celtic bronze amulet. Dating back to the heyday of the La Tène culture, this object is a fine example of Celtic symbolic art. The amulet features a distinct ritualistic form composed of two main elements joined by a connecting bar. The upper section is a perfect circle, symbolizing the Sun, infinity, the cyclical nature of life, and the divine principle. The lower section is shaped like a stylized key or a "rotating" symbol—often interpreted as an emblem of fertility, a safeguard against evil spirits, or a representation of the four elements (or the four cardinal directions). The overall composition of the amulet (a circle atop a rectangular base) may have symbolized the connection between the earthly realm (the lower part) and the celestial realm (the upper part). The item is in excellent condition for an artifact of its age.Signs of wear consistent with age and use. Wearable. 100% original. Look at many photos for your own impression. The cross comes with a jewelry cord. Dimensions: 19 mm x 13 mm. Weight: 1.22 grams. The item was purchased in 2015 in Barcelona, Spain from G.A. as part of a private Spanish collection dating back to the 1980s.
