Cedraschi - Pier Gianni Cedraschi - Figure - Coppia di anziani - Porcelain

Capodimonte porcelain sculpture titled "Coppia di Anziani" (or "Elderly Couple") and signed by the well-known Milanese sculptor Pier Gianni Cedraschi (1935–2012). This work is characterized by a strongly expressive and realistic style, typical of the artist's popular and rural depictions for the Capodimonte manufactory. It depicts a pair of elderly people caught in a moment of daily life: the woman wears a shawl and an apron, while the man is portrayed in a tank top with suspenders, with facial features that are very defined and pronounced. The base is enriched with plastic detailing and gilding along the decorative edges. The height is about 20 cm. Good condition with minimal signs of age and wear. See photos for condition and measurements. I do not ship outside the European Community. The lot will be carefully packed and shipped in a reinforced polystyrene box.
