Cavalier Sao - Sao - Chad (No reserve price)

This piece depicts a Sao horseman fashioned from metal and accented with leather, in the pure tradition of ancient African arts. The horseman, in a deliberately pared-down style, stands proudly on his mount, embodying the power and prestige that the horse symbolized in Sahelian cultures. The geometric and elongated shapes recall the minimalist and symbolic aesthetic unique to the Sao civilization, while the rough textures of metal and leather evoke both artisanal authenticity and the patina of time. The whole piece exudes an aura of strength, history, and spirituality.
