Casala - Chair (2) - Wood

An original pair of vintage Casala Modell chairs, manufactured in Germany, dating most likely to the 1960s–1970s. The chairs feature the light and elegant construction typical of Mid-Century design. The tall backrests consist of three gently curved horizontal slats. Light wooden frames, most likely made of beech, are paired with upholstered seats in a warm brown-ochre shade. The combination of light wood with the darker upholstery gives the chairs a very characteristic period look. The underside retains the original manufacturer's mark “CASALA MODELL”, visible in the photos. The chairs have kept their authentic character and have not undergone excessive restoration. Visible are age- and use-related marks, including wear, scratches, and small marks on the wooden elements. The upholstery also shows natural signs of use. Condition and characteristic signs of use are shown in detail in the photos. The pictures also show the underside construction and the manufacturer's mark. Condition: good vintage condition, with visible signs of age and use. Please carefully review all photos, as they form an integral part of the description.
