We present at auction a piece of rare elegance with a distinctive design signed Cartier Paris: the iconic Pentagon model lighter. This accessory is a true miniature sculpture, capable of merging the jeweler's craftsmanship of the French maison with a refined and original geometry. The body of the lighter is enhanced by a luxurious and luminous gold-plated finish (Plaqué Or G), masterfully enriched by a sophisticated relief engraving across the entire surface. This dense and refined textured motif not only gives extraordinary three-dimensionality and brilliance to the object, but also ensures a firm and pleasant grip. On the smooth back cover are clearly impressed the inscriptions "Cartier Paris", the plating mark ("PLAQUE OR G") and the unique serial number, confirming the piece’s absolute authenticity. The device has been recharged with the proper gas, equipped with a new flint, and rigorously tested: the roller mechanism is perfectly smooth and the lighter is fully functional, producing a bright, steady, and regular flame (as shown in the photographs). The conservation status of this specimen is to be considered in good general condition, being a fascinating vintage object with a life lived. The structure appears solid and mechanically flawless.
