Capodimonte - Carpié - Figure (2) - Porcelain, Gold plated

A splendid and refined pair of polychrome statuettes in finest Capodimonte porcelain. The figures rest on elegant circular porcelain bases with gilt edging, themselves mounted on sumptuous pedestals in gilded bronze finely worked in Rococo style with volute motifs. Artist's signature: incised directly into the ceramic paste on the back of both sculptures. Manufacturing mark: blue letter "N" topped by a five-point crown with the overlying acronym "S.A.P." impressed on the back of the white porcelain. Dimensions: Height approximately 30-35 cm (base included) Conditions: Overall excellent aesthetic condition.
