(◊) CAPE VERDE. Banco Nacional Ultramarino. 5 Escudos, 1.1.1921. P-33. PMG Gem Uncirculated 66 EPQ. Overprinted on Pick-32. The original date of 1921 is seen, but these with the 'Cinco Escudos' overprint were issued in 1937. While 500,000 were printed, it is a very difficult type in better grades, and almost unheard of in uncirculated condition. This is the sole finest example in the PMG population with strong originality and eye appeal. (◊) This lot has been consigned from the European Union and will be shipped or picked up from our Denmark office once the auction concludes.
