Candlestick A Pair of Italian Hand-Carved and Gilded Wood...

An exceptional, mirrored pair of mid-century Italian Baroque-style pricket candlesticks expertly crafted by the renowned workshops of ANRI in Val Gardena, Italy. Each piece features a beautifully sculpted putto (cherub) in dynamic, classical contrapposto, holding aloft a deeply carved, foliate cornucopia candle nozzle. The figures are intricately detailed with fine locks of curly hair and naturalistic flesh tones, dramatically offset by fluid, high-relief drapery finished in brilliant gold leaf gilding
