The foot and the stem are two separate parts. An octagonal shape typical of the early Baroque and worked on with a lathe. You can see this from the deep circles on the bottom. Fastened to the stem via a central pin or dowel joint. Oxidation at the joint indicates that the metal has had a long time to react with moisture and candle wax. Period around 1700/1740, early Baroque in England, the Netherlands, and France. The foot is no less than 12 cm wide and served to catch the grease. A small piece of the upper ring. Will be shipped by B post.
