All auctions / Glass / CAMILLE TUTRÈ DE VARREUX "Soliflor mit Bergsee"
In mehreren Arbeitsgängen feinsinnig geätzter Landschaftsdekor. Sehr guter, einwandfreier Erhaltungszustand. | CAMILLE TUTRÈ DE VARREUX “Soliflor with Mountain Lake” Pantin, ca. 1915–1920. Overlay glass, colorless with light and dark blue as well as green overlay. A landscape decoration delicately etched in several stages. Signed “de Vez” in raised etching on the side. Height 28.5 cm. A slender, elegant soliflor with a wide, disc-shaped foot, a bulbous base, and a long, slender neck with a slightly flared rim. The body features a multi-layered, etched, atmospheric mountain landscape by a lake: In the foreground, delicate, green trees rise up, their branches framing a view of a tranquil mountain lake set against a backdrop of tiered, blue-shaded mountain ranges. The harmonious balance of blue and green tones lends the piece a remarkable sense of spatial depth and an atmospheric play of light. In very good, flawless condition.
