All auctions / Ethnographic / Butterfly Taxidermy full body mount - Agrias cf

Magnificent entomological box containing two genuine tropical butterflies of the genus Agrias, presenting a remarkable diversity of colors and patterns. Probable scientific name: Agrias cf. beatifica (family Nymphalidae). Precise identification to be confirmed. The upper specimen presents a splendid cobalt blue iridescence, deep violet and metallic green, contrasting with the dark portions of its wings. The lower specimen reveals a completely different coloration, with wings in gray-green tones, orange-red patches, and numerous circular black patterns. The two butterflies are displayed with wings spread and pinned in a display case with a textured black frame on a white background. The whole constitutes a particularly aesthetic composition, highlighting the beauty and diversity of tropical Lepidoptera. Ideal for fans of exotic butterflies, natural history specimen collectors, and curiosity cabinets.
