Year: 1931 AD (Inscribed 1293 Burmese Era) Dimensions: 33 cm (W) x 40 cm (H) x 2 cm (D) Weight: 13 kg (28.6 lbs) An exceptionally rare, elite-tier pre-WWII Burmese temple nipple gong set. Cast from an incredibly dense, solid pour of premium high-tin bell bronze, the gong weighs an extraordinary 13 kg despite its compact 33 cm face width. It features a traditional stepped crown top and original braided suspension cord. The reverse side bears a hand-hammered, stippled donor inscription in Burmese script, explicitly dedicating the piece in the month of Tagu, 1293 ME (early 1931 AD). Accompanied by its original tropical hardwood handle featuring seven hand-turned grip ridges and a dense, wool-felt-wrapped spherical striker head engineered to activate the massive low-end acoustic resonance of the thick bronze.
