Descriptio Gilded bronze, chased. Measures 61 cm in height. Figure of Buddha standing on a stepped base, with hands joined in anjali mudra in a gesture of veneration and spiritual contemplation. The figure wears a monastic robe richly ornamented with engraved floral and geometric motifs that cover the surface with extraordinary decorative detail. The oval face displays a serene expression, almond-shaped eyes, and a slight smile, while the hair is arranged in small, regular curls topped with an ushnisha. The vertical composition and stylized elegance reflect the sculptural tradition of the Ratanakosin Kingdom, heir to Thai courtly refinement. The uniform gilding and delicate ornamental work give the image an intense ceremonial and devotional presence, reflecting the continuity of Southeast Asian Buddhist aesthetics in modern times. 61 cm in height. Lot in international warehouse (within the EU). Intra-EU shipment: no import duties apply within the EU. Export permit from the country of origin may be required. Due to its age and history of use, this lot may show signs of wear and previous interventions. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, no specialized technical testing has been performed. The absence of any mention of restorations does not guarantee that none exist. You may request additional information before placing a bid. This does not affect the buyer’s statutory rights.
