Vintage leather medicine ball personally owned and used by martial artist and actor Bruce Lee. Constructed of stitched brown leather panels with contrasting stitching and a central laced opening. Measures approximately 10.5" in diameter and weighs 12 pounds, 4 ounces. Wear and soiling to surface from use, overall very good. From the collection of Herb Jackson, whose well-documented friendship with Lee began when he trained in Jeet Kune Do at Lee's Los Angeles martial arts academy. Jackson was a first-generation Jeet Kune Do student, close friend, confidant, and custom training equipment maker for Bruce Lee. Before Lee's move to Hong Kong, he gifted many pieces of his martial arts training equipment to Jackson. Includes a signed certificate of authenticity (COA) from Herb Jackson's son, Mark Ashton-Jackson, who received the medicine ball by descent. The letter confirms that the ball was personally owned and used by Bruce Lee and acquired directly from him by Herb Jackson. The documentation also includes a photograph of the ball and historical images associated with Lee's physical training. Original images not included in the auction. Estimate $15,000 - $25,000
