Vintage brutalist-modernist bronze pendant with chain – Scandinavian style – approx. 1960–1975 Special and pronounced vintage bronze pendant with heavy chain, executed in a characteristic brutalist-modernist style from the 1960s–1970s. The rectangular pendant has a powerful sculptural design with a strongly raised relief. Spirals, circles, lines, spheres and geometric elements form an abstract, almost totemic composition. The different heights in the relief create a beautiful play of light and shadow and give the piece its pronounced architectural character. The bronze has over the years developed a particularly attractive natural patina, with warm bronze- and copper-toned hues, dark patinations, and local greenish oxidation. This authentic patina is intentionally preserved and emphasizes the brutalist character of the design.
