Reverse: GEORGE VI KING EMPEROR. - Grade: MS65 RB (NGC). Bronze Pice coin corresponding to the Bombay mint variant ("B"), known as High Crown, Large Dot. The obverse presents the face value, the country inscription and the date surrounding the characteristic central hole, topped by the Imperial Crown. The reverse shows an elaborate floral decoration around the hole with the legend of King George VI. The specimen preserves an attractive original red-brown color typical of the RB designation, with very notable mint lustre, sharp relief, clean fields and minimal contact marks, fully in line with its high grade MS65. This issue was minted during World War II, in the late years of British rule over India, constituting one of the most representative perforated coins of the colonial period.
