Brenda Murphy (Born 1955) "Sweet Cheyenne" Graphite & Pastel on Paper. Brenda J. Murphy is a native of Texas and grew up fascinated by horses. She began drawing horses at an early age and later gravitated toward art professionally. After earning a BFA at the University of Texas at Arlington, she worked for the next 15 years as a graphic designer and illustrator in Dallas. The artist eventually returned to Arlington, where she maintains a studio today. Her work is found in private collections across the country and in the Bosque Conservatory of Art in Clifton, Texas. She has won medals in juried competition, and her work has been featured in national publications and appeared in this year's Prix de West.
