Two early Gilbert Erector Sets including a No. 7 and a No. 7-1/2, each housed in its original wooden case. The No. 7 includes an instruction manual (not correct to the set), electric motor, wheels, gears, pulleys, steel girders, structural plates, and a variety of original components. The two small "Erector - The World's Greatest Toy" parts boxes are reproduction examples. The No. 7-1/2 includes its instruction manual, electric motor assembly, boiler, wheels, gears, girders, hardware, and more. The lid on one wooden case is partially detached due to damaged hinge hardware. Both sets have not been collated for completeness, and are being sold with what is shown. Both wooden cases exhibit age-related wear including scuffs and scratches. The No. 7 case measures approximately 21.5 x 8.5 x 5 in., and the No. 7-1/2 case measures approximately 21.5 x 8.5 x 3.25 in. From the remarkable lifetime Collection of Michael Kent.
