Antique Art Nouveau silver chatelaine box / pendant – floral blackberry decoration – 800 silver – c. 1900 A charming antique Art Nouveau silver miniature box, designed to be worn suspended from a chatelaine, long guard chain or lady's belt. Crafted in 800 silver, the hinged oval box is beautifully decorated in high relief with an elegant branch of blackberry leaves and berries, a characteristic naturalistic motif of the Art Nouveau movement. The box retains its original suspension ring and closes securely. The interior is plain and clean, while the exterior displays an attractive hand-finished surface with rich relief decoration. Hallmarks Marked 800 for solid silver. Additional maker's or assay mark present but indistinct. Condition Good antique condition with age-related wear, light surface scratches and a few small dents consistent with more than a century of careful use.
