Box - .925 silver - Milanese manufacture

Important modernist Italian box in 925 sterling silver vermeil, made in Milan around the 1970s and characterized by an extraordinarily elegant sculptural design. The object immediately strikes with its iconic organic ovoid form, almost biomorphic, enhanced by a sophisticated continuous ribbed finishing that creates a magnificent play of light on the silvery surfaces. The soft and dynamic lines recall the best Italian modernist design of the period, with an aesthetic presence that remains extremely contemporary and refined today. The original interior gilded in vermeil adds further prestige to the piece, creating a fascinating contrast between the brightness of sterling silver and the warm golden reflection inside. A detail of great luxury, typical of high-end Italian production aimed at an international clientele. Original Italian hallmarks: 39 MI 925 Sterling that identifies a Milanese manufacturer specialized in quality silverware. Very substantial weight: approximately 620 grams of sterling silver. Unlike ordinary decorative silverware, this piece possesses a strong stylistic identity and an immediate collecting appeal, making it ideal both as a design object and as a decorative element for contemporary interiors, Art Deco, or Mid-Century. The condition is excellent, with minimal and physiological signs of time compatible with the age of the piece. The original interior gold plating is beautifully preserved. Objects of this quality, size, and aesthetic refinement are increasingly sought after today in the international market for design and Italian modernist silverware.
