Antique molded white and blue porcelain bowl (Sometsuke), Japan, Late Edo period / early Meiji period, hand-decorated with an elegant design along the inner and outer walls depicting sinuous tendrils of morning glory. On the inner bottom there are two finely detailed figures of singing crickets, a classical natural subject highly loved in the Japanese artistic tradition. In good condition with normal signs of wear and on the outer lower edge a firing flaw (which does not spoil the beauty of the piece). For all details please check the photos carefully.
