The work translates a daily reality into a visual language of repetition and rhythm. Central is the tension between control and temptation, two forces that continually vie for priority. Each work consists of a box filled with insulin syringes, hand-arranged into a pattern on a wooden substrate. The act of placing them requires patience and precision; the resulting repetition evokes the routines by which a life is structured, whether or not diabetes is involved.
