Boston, Massachusetts. Hamilton Bank. 1833 $100. PCGS Currency Choice About New 55. Proof. (MA-225-G52). Plate A. No Imprint. PSSP-type design typical of the 1820s and 1830s. Bank title along top center margin with "ONE H" repeated twice at left and right. Below, guarantee text alongside various cartouches emblazoned "HAMILTON BANK" and "ONE HUNDRED DOLLs." MASSACHUSETTS" at left laid atop a serpentine panel. Sem-nude female figure immediately right of the aforementioned design element and accompanied by rectangular counters emblazoned "100" seen along the top and bottom margins. Massachusetts arms at right situated between a similar arrangement. This institution ultimately became the Hamilton National Bank of Boston (Charter# 778) in 1865.
