This is a rare and limited item from Kevin Garnett. Signed Mitchell & Ness jersey from the Boston Celtics. Item described as in good condition, with some minor scratches. Comes complete with UDA COA and hologram. He played his first 3 years for Mauldin High School, South Carolina. He was named Mr. Basketball in the state of South Carolina during his junior year in 1994. He then transferred to Farragut High School in Illinois for his senior year of high school. During his senior year he was named National High School Player Of The Year by USA Today and was selected for the Parade Magazine All-America First Team after he led Farragut to a 28-2 finish and the Class AA State Quarterfinals. He was proclaimed Mr. Basketball in the state of Illinois with an average of 25.2 points, 17.9 rebounds, 6.7 assists and 6.5 blocks while shooting 66.6% from the field. Garnett, whose four-year high school basketball statistics totals consisted of 2,533 points, 1,807 rebounds and 739 blocks, was named Most Outstanding Player of the McDonald's All-America Game where he posted 18 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 blocks. Kevin Garnett entered himself in the 1995 NBA Draft straight after graduating from his Farragut Academy high school in Chicago. Most players attend a college first to be drafted from there. NBA In 1995 he began his career with the Minnesota Timberwolves, who that year, due to the poor results in the preceding season, were one of the first teams allowed to select among young talents. He was drafted as the fifth pick in Round One. In 2003-2004 he was named MVP of the season. The Boston Celtics acquired Kevin Garnett in a trade with the Minnesota Timberwolves for Gerald Green, Ryan Gomes, Al Jefferson, Theo Ratliff, Sebastian Telfair, a 2009 First-Round Draft Pick (Top 3 Protected) and a return of Minnesota's First-Round Draft Pick earlier obtained in the Ricky Davis vs. Wally Szczerbiak deal plus some cash. With the Celtics Garnett joined a team with top players Paul Pierce and Ray Allen, who had earlier that month joined from the Seattle SuperSonics. For the Celtics, the arrival of Garnett and Allen marked the start of a new era. With three veteran players (the so-called "Big Three") at the top of the NBA, complemented by young talent such as Rajon Rondo, the Celtics immediately won the NBA championship in 2008 by defeating the Los Angeles Lakers in the Finals 4-2. In 2010 he again reached the NBA Finals with the Celtics but this time fell to the Lakers, losing the series 4-3. In the summer of 2013 Garnett was traded to the Brooklyn Nets, along with his teammate Paul Pierce. In February 2015 Garnett returned to the team where he began his NBA career, the Minnesota Timberwolves.
