Lacquered and Hand-Painted Century-Worn Representation Library (Libreria di Rappresentanza) Important Italian representative library from the 20th century, characterized by a large-scale architectural structure, entirely lacquered in light tones and enriched by refined hand-painted decorations. The front is divided by fluted pilasters with decorative capitals and shaped frames, enhanced by multicolored floral and vegetal motifs. The upper part features two glazed side doors with a distinctive Venetian arch shape and a central open compartment, with internal shelves covered in damask red fabric and finished with trim. The lower part consists of three wide compartments closed by doors, each decorated with elegant shaped recesses and hand-painted floral compositions. The sides are also of particular value, decorated with floral motifs and scrollwork. Locks and fittings complete the furniture’s aesthetic, while a plaque reads “Mobili d’Arte F.lli Olivieri Cerèa.” A library of great visual impact, ideal for living rooms, studies, libraries, or prestigious reception spaces.
