Bob Buys (1912-1970) - Argelès sur Mèr

Bob Buys (Amsterdam, 1912-1970) was a painter who was in love with France. He painted mostly landscapes in an impressionist style. First in Brittany, later in the South of France, especially in the vicinity of 'Argelès sur Mèr, where he and his family had a small holiday home. This painting is a view of 'Argelès sur Mèr'. A typical mediterranean village in the Pyrénées-Orientales. Clearly visible is the tower of 'L'eglise Notre-Dame del Prat' that is in the centre of 'Argelès sur Mèr'.
