« David with Machine Gun » - Artist's Proof (AP) - Serigraphy, 2008 In 2008, two major figures of street art met: Blek le Rat (Xavier Prou), a pioneer of stencil in Paris since the early 1980s and an acknowledged influence on an entire generation of artists, including Banksy, and Shepard Fairey, aka OBEY, creator of the poster « Hope » that same year. From this collaboration comes « David with Machine Gun », a screen print where the armed David motif, Blek le Rat's emblematic image, dialogues with OBEY's graphic language. This copy is an Artist's Proof (AP), pulled outside the main numbered edition and traditionally rarer on the market.
