Black Sabbath - Vol

A scarce French Vertigo pressing of Black Sabbath's legendary Vol. 4, issued under catalogue number 6360 071. This copy features the distinctive Vertigo "Spaceship" labels—a particularly appealing continental variation that stands apart from the much more commonly encountered UK and German editions. Vol. 4 marked a significant evolution in the band's sound during their classic Ozzy Osbourne period, balancing the crushing heaviness of tracks such as "Supernaut," "Snowblind" and "Under the Sun" with more atmospheric and experimental material including "Changes" and "Laguna Sunrise." For collectors exploring the rich diversity of international Vertigo label variations, this French edition represents an interesting and less frequently encountered alternative. ⸻ Sleeve (VG+): The original laminated sleeve remains a solid and attractive example, positioned at the lower end of VG+. Corner wear is evident, and there are areas where the lamination is lifting. A small seam split runs along the top edge. Despite these signs of age and use, the sleeve retains structural integrity and presents well overall → VG+ Vinyl : Audio (VG+) / Visual (VG): The vinyl retains a nice original gloss but displays clear evidence of previous play. A grey sheen is visible across the grooves, accompanied by numerous hairlines and superficial surface marks throughout. The marks are predominantly non-feelable, and despite the visual wear, the record plays well overall → VG - > VG+ audio ⸻ Details * French Vertigo pressing * Catalogue number 6360 071 * Stereo * Vertigo "Spaceship" labels * Original laminated sleeve
