Black quartz in anhydrite CW2249 Crystal on matrix...

Perfect 15 mm morion quartz crystal, embedded in a pale saccharoid anhydrite matrix. The color of the quartz is due to hydrocarbon inclusions. Collected in 1979. The sample is photographed under intense professional lighting to best highlight details and color. Any slight variations in color tones depend on the settings of the device used and/or exposure to ambient or artificial light of different color temperatures. CW2249
