A finely cast bronze temple bell modelled after the traditional Japanese bonshō, the large bells used in Buddhist temples. The domed crown is surmounted by a finely sculpted ryūzu, formed by two confronted dragons, while the body is decorated with the characteristic raised bosses (nyū) arranged in regular panels above horizontal reinforcing bands. The rich, naturally aged patina enhances the surface. ---The bell is in good condition, patina with oxidations and stains. Please refer to the pictures for further details. The item will be carefully packed and shipped accompanied by the original certificate of authenticity issued by Mastromauro Japanese art gallery based in Milan, Italy. 784
