A set of 12 rare crystal knife rests from the Art Deco period. The knife rests are hand-polished and have a particularly beautiful design in the characteristic Art Deco style. What makes these knife rests especially rare is that they feature an incised line. The knife rests come in the original case with a lovely sand-colored lining. The lining is printed with the name of the shop from which they were sold: BECHT, DEN HAAG. The Becht firm was known at the time as a specialty shop in porcelain and luxury items. They sold high-quality table accessories for the more upscale households in The Hague. Dimensions: Case: 23.5 x 19 x 4 cm. Knife rest: 9.2 x 1.5 x 1.8 cm. The knife rests are in good condition.
