Basket - 1970 modern Century - Brass, Rattan - Gabriella Crespi style

Superb and rare oversized circular basket (XL size), made in Italy in the 1970s. This elegant piece fits perfectly into the Hollywood Regency style and the iconic creations of Gabriella Crespi or the Vivai del Sud house. It consists of a deep woven rattan structure (pencil reed style), highlighted by a wide upper border in gold-toned brass and topped with a tall fixed handle, also in brass. With its generous dimensions, this high-end basket can serve as a majestic centerpiece, a chic fruit basket, or a sophisticated magazine rack. • Origin: Italy • Era: 1970s • Style: Mid-Century Modern / Hollywood Regency • Materials: natural rattan, gold-tone brass Dimensions: 34 cm diameter Basket height alone: 27 cm Handle: 24 cm Total height: 51 cm The exterior bottom of the basket had been varnished by the previous owners; that is why it is darker than the rest.
