I offer at auction a pink banded agate slice pendant with a necklace of colored agates (St. Agatha Stone – Symbol of Fortitude). The entire necklace has been hand-knotted with knots at each bead. We present a beautiful and striking pendant made from a natural banded agate slice. The piece stands out for its fascinating geometric pattern of concentric rings that resembles the growth lines of a tree trunk, alternating lovely pink and white hues. The slice has been carefully mirror-polished on both faces, offering a completely smooth surface, pleasant to the touch, with a spectacular vitreous shine. It is a timeless piece of jewelry, ideal for everyday wear as well as for gem collectors. Material: agate - HIGH QUALITY Gemstone origin: Brazil Pink agate pendant: approximately 60 x 52 cm Collar bead size: approximately 8 mm Necklace length: 80 cm Necklace hand-knotted professionally with knots at each bead Thread quality: silk and cotton blend Gift box and protective pouches The photos form part of the description The display bust has a diameter of 22 cm (not for auction) Saint Agatha of Catania Martyr and Patron: Agatha (from Greek agathé, meaning 'kind') was a young virgin and martyr of the 3rd century in Sicily, who suffered persecution for her Christian faith under Emperor Decius. Fortitude symbolism: Her story is an example of unwavering faith and steadfastness in the face of torture. She is the patron saint of Catania, and her intercession is invoked against volcanic eruptions (such as Mount Etna). She is also the patroness of nurses and of people affected by breast cancer, due to the torments she endured.
