Bandai - Tin toy - Polizei Porsche Modell 912 - 1960-1970 - Japan

Offered for the collector of vintage Japanese tin toy cars: a beautiful and highly sought-after Bandai Polizei Porsche Modell 912 with a unique visible engine compartment. Produced in Japan in the late 1960s (1967). This model is in an exceptionally neat aesthetic condition and is complete with the rare original cardboard box (OCB) including the inner cardboard insert. Condition report: • Mechanical steering: Fully functional! The cable-operated steering mechanism works smoothly. When you turn the blue steering wheel on the remote, the car’s front wheels steer physically and neatly in tandem. • Visual condition: The white body is very clean and still has a beautiful gloss. The “POLIZEI” lettering and the license plate are fully intact. The chrome bumpers and details show minimal signs of aging. The transparent rear window through which the yellow engine fan can be seen is crystal clear and free of cracks. • Electrical features: Not tested. The operation of the electric motor, the blue flashing light, and the siren have not been tested. The battery compartment in the remote control (suitable for 2x 1.5V C cells / baby batteries) is completely clean and absolutely free of old battery corrosion. • Original box: The box is in very good, fresh condition with bright yellow colours. The box has retained its sturdy form well and shows only light storage marks appropriate to age. Please carefully view the extensive photo gallery, as this forms an important part of the description. See photos for assessment; it will be well packed and shipped with tracking.
