Baluster vase - Glass - WMF Ikora

This object is a vintage glass vase from WMF (Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik) from the well-known "Ikora" or "Cristal" glassware. These artistically mouth-blown vases are characterized by thick walls and the dynamic, swirling color fields in which pink, red and soft orange tones blend into one another. With a height of 20 centimeters, this vase falls into the medium to large specimens within the WMF Ikora glassware range. This is a very common and beloved size among collectors. The presence of the original, paper brand sticker increases the vase's value to the top of the market. On the bottom is the rare and highly sought-after gold-colored WMF Cristal sticker. This is the ultimate proof of authenticity. Because these paper and foil stickers have, over the decades, been washed off or worn away on most vases, a piece with an intact sticker is highly prized among collectors. Additionally, the photo shows a clearly punched/cut pontil mark (the rough circular scar in the middle), which is characteristic of this artisanal, mouth-blown glassware by Karl Wiedmann for WMF. The current valuation for this 20 cm model with sticker: • Collectors and design platforms: €120 to €150. Collectors are happy to pay a premium for the sticker.

Estimate:$168.39
