BACON (Francis). Recent Paintings. - Lot 21

BACON (Francis). Recent Paintings. Paris, Galerie Lelong, “Repères, cahiers d’art contemporain” series, n.d. Paperback, large 4° format, with a color-illustrated cover. Catalog dedicated to Francis Bacon’s recent paintings, with a preface by Jacques Dupin and an interview with Francis Bacon conducted by David Sylvester. Numerous color reproductions, including *Study from the Male Figure*, 1986, accompanied by photographs of the artist. This publication is particularly interesting due to the inclusion of the interview with David Sylvester, Bacon’s close confidant and the author of his famous interviews. A good copy, with minor scuffing on the cover.
