B. Morah - Bosque Ingrávido 187 XL

BOSQUE INGRÁVIDO 187 is part of a series inspired by Magritte and contemporary surrealism. This work is part of a series that sublimates the natural and the impossible in a single vision. In “Ingravid Forest,” the trunks float without roots, stripped of the gravity that ties them to the ground. The landscape becomes a stage for the improbable: a forest that is not upheld by the laws of physics, but by the rules of imagination. The reference to Magritte is no accident: like him, the artist invites us to contemplate a world where the everyday becomes strange, and the impossible, evident. The trees suspended in the air force us to rethink the concept of what is organic and stable, while the chromatic play — with electric blues, incandescent reds, and deep shadows — intensifies the dreamlike atmosphere. This series raises essential questions: What happens when we take the weight off nature? Can weightlessness reveal another dimension of the landscape, one more emotional than physical? “Ingravid Forest” is both a metaphor and a Provocation, a visual liberation act that defies logic to reveal a new poetic space. “Ingravid Forest” in itself already evokes a powerful image: floating trees that challenge not only physics but also our perception of what a forest should be. -Sobre la artista: The artist has exhibited her work in Almería, Spain; Dortmund, Germany; Porto Alegre, Brazil; School of Spain in Paris; Galería Art & Planét, Paris, France; Los Angeles, California, USA; Montreal, Canada; Vienna, Austria; Barcelona, Spain; New York, USA, among others. -Technical details of the artwork: Acrylic on high-quality cotton canvas Dimensions: 100 cm x 75 cm (+ free margin) Signed on the back and protected with varnish Original certificate of authenticity hand-signed -Nota aclaratoria: Colors may vary slightly depending on monitor settings and the lighting of the space where the photograph was taken.
