Weightless Forest 181 is part of a series inspired by Magritte and contemporary surrealism. This work is part of a series that sublimates the natural and the impossible in a single vision. In “Weightless Forest,” the trunks float without roots, stripped of the gravity that ties them to the ground. The landscape becomes the setting for the improbable: a forest that is not held by the laws of physics, but by the rules of imagination. The reference to Magritte is not casual: like him, the artist invites us to contemplate a world where the everyday becomes strange, and the impossible, evident. The trees suspended in the air compel us to rethink the concept of the organic and the stable, while the chromatic play—with electric blues, incandescent reds, and deep shadows—intensifies the dreamlike atmosphere. This series poses essential questions: What happens when we take the weight out of nature? Can weightlessness reveal another dimension of the landscape, one more emotional than physical? “Weightless Forest” is both a metaphor and a provocation, a visual liberation that defies logic to reveal a new poetic space. “Weightless Forest” in itself evokes a powerful image: floating trees that challenge not only physics but also our perception of what a forest should be. - About the artist: The artist has exhibited their work in Almería, Spain; Dortmund, Germany; Porto Alegre, Brazil; Colegio de España in Paris; Galería Art & Planét, Paris, France; Los Angeles, California, USA; Montreal, Canada; Vienna, Austria; Barcelona, Spain; New York, USA, among others. - Technical details of the work: Acrylic on high-quality cotton canvas Dimensions: 100 cm x 75 cm (+ bleed margin) Signed on the back and protected with varnish Original hand-signed certificate of authenticity - Clarifying note: Colors may vary slightly depending on monitor settings and the lighting of the space where the photograph was taken.
