Azzurra Lo Bello (XX) - Franco Battito Pop

Print with acrylic paint on canvas • Dimensions: 60 x 40 cm • Condition: new, shipped with FRAME • Signature: signed by the artist ─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─── Portrait paying homage to Franco Battiato, one of the greatest masters of contemporary Italian music. Singer-songwriter, composer, and spiritual researcher, Battiato has traversed genres and artistic languages with a unique creative freedom, leaving a deep mark on European musical culture. The work reinterprets the artist’s face through the language of geometric Pop Art, with a brief inspiration from the WPAP (Wedha’s Pop Art Portrait) style, known for constructing the image through clear color blocks and bright geometric planes. The portrait emerges from a composition of geometric shapes and intense chromatic contrasts, where vibrant colors – deep blues, turquoises, pinks, oranges, and yellows – define the volumes of the face without relying on traditional shadows. This approach creates a modern and powerful image that transforms Battiato’s face into a contemporary icon of Italian musical culture. The base of the work is a print on canvas, subsequently enriched by manual painting interventions in acrylic. The artist intervenes directly on the surface with brushstrokes and hand-painted details that add texture, depth, and uniqueness to the composition, making each piece a one-of-a-kind work. The result is a dialogue between music, contemporary art, and pop culture, where the face of maestro Franco Battiato is reinterpreted through a current, dynamic, and iconic visual language. Artwork signed by the artist. Ideal for collectors of contemporary Pop Art, iconic portraits of musicians, and art dedicated to Italian musical culture.
