Attr. Manifattura Molaroni Pesaro - Vase (2) - Model...

Refined and exclusive pair of parade amphora vases in maiolica, hand-painted and decorated, a majestic example of the great Marche ceramic tradition from the famous Molaroni Factory of Pesaro, datable to the first half of the 20th century. Each vase is entirely hand-painted with rich neorenaissance-style motifs. The majestic acanthus leaves, curled against an intense cobalt blue background, alternate with warm amber and yellow tones, framing on both sides central medallions finely outlined with a lattice and scrollwork. Dramatic and elegant spiral-handled, green ramina-toned with a patinated effect, elevate the slender form of the amphorae, giving a dynamic plasticity of great stage presence. The small chromatic and brush differences between the two vases attest to the completely manual execution of every single detail, a symbol of Italian ceramic excellence. The Molaroni Pesaro manufactory was founded in 1880 by Sir Egidio Molaroni, an artist and exceptional master ceramicist. In a short time, the factory became an international reference point for the production of art maiolicas, distinguished by its ability to reproduce with technical perfection and impeccable taste the splendors of the Italian Renaissance (Raffaellian decors, Pesaro history scenes, and grotesques). The Molaroni manufactory earned important awards and gold medals at the most prestigious World and National Exhibitions from the late 19th century to the early 20th century (including Turin, Milan, and Paris), becoming a synonym of collectible prestige and being chosen to furnish aristocratic and diplomatic residences throughout Europe. Finding a single vase from this manufactory is an achievement, but securing a complete and balanced pair in early 1900s majolica is an investment destined to preserve and increase its value over time. Do not miss the opportunity to enrich your collection with two masterpieces of pure Italian decorative art history! Note that one of the two vases has a crack in the handle (see photo).
