Articulated figure - Fon - Benin (No reserve price)

Articulated figure, Fon culture, Benin. H.44cm Beautiful Fon or Nago statuette from Benin. The figure is smiling, its gaze is bright. On its cheeks are ethnic scarifications typical of the Fon, Nago and Yoruba of Benin. The figure has no legs. Its arms are articulated. It is surely a puppet used during dances or ceremonies. Beautiful presence for this atypical object. A lovely piece for a collection of ancient and authentic Voodoo cult objects. Circa 1960.
