Artemide Aton Barra – Ernesto Gismondi design lamp – 1985 – Length 2 m I’m selling a splendid and iconic modular lighting system, Aton Barra, designed by Ernesto Gismondi in 1985 for Artemide (produced by Litech technical division). An authentic piece of Italian postmodern design history from the 1980s. The lot is in excellent condition and is complete with all its original mounting components. The wiring components can be extended as shown in the photo; currently they are extended to a maximum length of 30 cm from the ceiling. Designer: Ernesto Gismondi Manufacturer: Artemide / Litech (factory marks and technical specifications are present and legible on the supports) Dimensions: Substantial length of 2 meters (ideal for large dining tables, offices, covered verandas or studios), profile width about 10.5 cm. Finish: Extruded white-painted aluminum profile with black thermoplastic supports and rosettes. Light source: Equipped with the original modules for linear halogen lamps (R7s standard base), easily replaceable with modern linear LED lamps to reduce consumption. The protective glass and internal contacts are perfectly intact. Item condition: The lamp is used but well cared for. The white aluminum profile shows no deep scratches or oxide bloom. The black plastic supports and mounting rosettes retain their original color and are not cracked.
