Antique boudoir doll / flapper doll from the 1920s/1930s. A beautiful, absolutely authentic boudoir doll (bed doll / flapper doll) from the Art Deco era (circa 1920s/1930s). These long-legged dolls were in the Roaring Twenties an elegant and fashionable decorative accessory for the bedroom or sofa of adult women. The doll captivates with its characteristic, expressive look of the era and is a fascinating time-historical collector's piece. Details & features: Style & era: Original Art Deco / Flapper-Girl style with a charming, hand-painted face (pouty lips, emphasized eyelids). Clothing & accessories: Fully dressed in a period-appropriate outfit. She wears an original cloche (bell hat) with floral applique, a white feather boa, a dress made of fine mesh/lace fabric with a brooch, as well as the typical undergarments (slip and a lilac harem/pantaloon with ruffled cuffs). Special highlight: The fingernails are originally painted with bright red nail polish – a quintessential fashion detail of the emancipated flapper era. Construction: Head made of molded/painted fabric. The body and thighs are softly stuffed, while the lower legs (with molded high heels) and forearms are made of painted composite material.
