Arran Sauternes Cask Finish & Port Cask Finish - 70cl - 2 bottles

This Arran single malt is finished in Port casks; it is non-chill-filtered, contains no added coloring, and is bottled at 50% ABV to ensure a rich flavor and fruity aromas. After maturing for several years in traditional oak casks, the whisky was transferred to a selection of Port casks sourced from an artisanal producer of Portuguese Port. Master Distiller James MacTaggart carefully oversaw this secondary maturation period until he achieved the perfect balance between the Port casks and the Arran malt’s inherent sweet, fruity character. The result is a single malt full of charm, complexity, and quality. This Arran malt is finished in a Sauternes cask—Sauternes being a delicious sweet white wine from Bordeaux. Palate: Richly honey-sweet, supported by a lively zestiness that transitions into spices and a tangy salinity. As the dram opens up, vanilla and sultana notes emerge, followed by hints of toasted oak. Finish: Sweetness, honey, apricots, melon, honeysuckle.
