Boden aus schwach geflammtem Ahorn, Zargen und Schnecke aus ähnlichem Holz, Decke aus Fichte, schwarzbraun gelackt, innen Zettel mit Bezeichnung 'Antonius Thir Lauten und Geigenmacher in Presspurg Anno 1761, L: ca. 59 cm. Alters- und Gebrauchsspuren, Saiten, Steg und Kinnauflage erneuert. Im Koffer (Anfang 20. Jh.). ANBEI Gutachten von Geigenbaumeister Herbert Moritz Mönnig, Musikhaus Johannes Jehle, Ebingen aus dem Jahr 1946 UND von Geigenbaumeister Andreas Mages, Stuttgart aus dem Jahr 1995 (diese mit Angabe des Handelswertes DM 15.000). | ANTONIUS THIR I (18th century), violin, 1761, back made of lightly flamed maple, sides and scroll made of similar wood, top made of spruce, finished in black-brown varnish, with a label inside bearing the inscription ‘Antonius Thir, lute and violin maker in Presspurg, Anno 1761’, length: approx. 59 cm. Signs of age and wear; strings, bridge and chin rest replaced. In a case (early 20th century). ENCLOSED: expert reports by master violin maker Herbert Moritz Mönnig, Musikhaus Johannes Jehle, Ebingen, dated 1946, AND by master violin maker Andreas Mages, Stuttgart, dated 1995 (the latter stating a market value of DM 15,000).
