Antonio Pecorelli (XX) - La passeggiata dei fiori

Antonio Pecorelli "The Flower Walk" Oil on canvas, 40 × 50 cm Antonio Pecorelli presents a scene with a retro feel, set along a tree-lined boulevard where figures in period clothes animate a stroll with a gathered atmosphere. In the center, a woman wearing an elegant dark hat and a dress in shades of blue and petrol green walks beside a girl dressed in red, who carries a small bouquet of flowers. To the right, another female figure, in a light dress and an ornate hat, stands near a cart filled with pink flowers. The pavement is built up with a weave of ochre, browns, grays, and rosy touches, suggesting a surface traversed by light reflections. Lamps, ornamental pillars, and green canopies define the depth of the avenue, while a more distant figure extends the narrative toward the background. The details of the garments, from the folds to the light borders, confer grace and movement to the composition. The visible brushwork softens the contours and binds people and setting into a harmonious whole, evoking the pleasure of small daily encounters and the discreet elegance of a bygone era.
