Curated collection of antique, vintage and modern rugs Antique Persian Heriz Serapi Rug - Circa 1920 Size: 9 ft 2 in x 8 ft (2.79 m x 2.44 m) Provenance: Property of a retired New York dealer A powerful antique Serapi with a bold central medallion set against a warm red field and surrounded by strongly articulated angular vines and floral devices. Its nearly square proportions are unusual and give the composition a concentrated, architectural presence. The combination of tribal geometry, spacious drawing, and softened colors makes it both highly decorative and collectible.
