Central Asian wooden chest, circa 1930, of rectangular form with hinged lid, decorated with shaped brass mounts, metal studs, mother-of-pearl accents, and a blue-and-white ceramic fitting. The front features applied brass bands and a central lock plate. Raised on short feet. Wear, oxidation, scratches, losses, and surface marks consistent with age and use. Exterior: H. 33 x W. 51.5 x D. 30.5 cm (13 x 20.3 x 12 in.). Interior: H. 26 x W. 43 x D. 23 cm (10.2 x 16.9 x 9.1 in.). The item is located in Paris, France.
