Antique Negligé Necklace with Diamonds in Silver on Gold, c. 1910

This necklace from the early years of the century before last is delicate and elegant. Brightly sparkling diamonds and silver combine to create a typical negligé necklace, which was particularly popular in the years around 1900 and was created in various styles. Our piece features a fixed pendant made of silver-plated gold on a chain, adorned with nine sparkling diamonds in historical cuts. The two large stones at the ends of the movable pendulum are particularly beautiful. Due to the special, individual cut of the old cut, the fire of the stones is also a very special, softer light than that of modern diamonds. The silver surfaces complement this white colour tone, which shows off the stones to their best advantage and unites all the elements of the design. The necklace is in very good condition and is a typical piece of jewellery from the Belle Époque.
